Default Missing My Family This Holiday Season

Hi everyone, just want to ask how everyone is doing? It's almost the end of the year and we are all still coping with this coronavirus pandemic. I know it's been hard for most of us, but I believe that we will all get through this. I personally have been missing my family, I haven't visited my parents for 9 months now, but I am glad I've seen them through video chats. How about you, how are you all coping up?

Hey there,

I haven't seen my one brother in 6 months or so. I saw my mom a few weeks ago, only because we needed the help with our heater repair. Other than that It has been a difficult year without seeing family.

It has been one the the worse years I have ever been through. But I learned a lot about my aspergers that I didn't know, which has helped me to deal with it much better. So the year hasn't been quite all bad, lol.

How are you doing this year?

travel restrictions and gathering guidelines mean that I won’t be seeing my loved ones for the holidays. I am quite disappointed about how the holidays will look different from years past, but I think it’s necessary to pause our usual traditions to really stop the surge.

Have you guys been talking to family and friends through phone calls or video services? They’ve been a life saver for me during the pandemic, though it can be difficult to convince older family members to use them. My grandparents don’t even like mobile phones!

If you haven’t tried communicating this way, I highly recommend it. It isn’t the same as seeing someone in person, but it definitely helps to keep lines of communication open, and it helps one feel less lonely.
