me neither, i never ever want to go there, my dad travels there a lot for work and they harass him at the border all the time, the guards even asked him once "isn't there an american who can do your job?" they interrogated him for two hours for no good reason

Citys can be dangerous. Yeah all the cabs in citys have the bullet proof galss, for the driver. But it's not that bad. Most of america is actually coutryside. As soon as you leave the city it's woods or farmland or desert or whatever.

Oh, that's so strange. Interesting. I can understand the view of others living outside the country. As far as being a citizen here. It's just...probably not that different than canada or th Uk. They don't break into your house and kidnap you or anything.

i live in the back of beyond. earlier this year , my daughter was whisked off to hospital. my neighbour took the boys and passed them on to another neighbour later on. i left the back door open so that the dogs could go in and out to the yard. i never once worried that anything might go missing. i was just so gratefull that i live in a place where you can do that, when i got home, a friend said that she had popped round to see us. when she saw we were not in , she let the dogs out in the garden for half hour/. i do feel so blessed that i live in a part of the world that time forgot.

alot of people have guns, but mostly rifles and shotguns for hunting. Most people though don't have guns. Generally only criminals walk around with a gun. You have to have a permit to carry a concealed weapon so thats like undercover police, etc... Otherwise, you have to show that you have a gun and not alot of people are crazy enough to walk around showing that they have a gun--you need a permit to own a gun, not that it's hard to get one. My best friend had shotguns for hunting and we used to walk down the street with them on the way to the woods for target practice. I didn't really hunt though, just shoot bottles and cans. But yeah, guns are dangerous. I don't have one.

That's nice about the dogs. I know what you mean. Where I grew up it was a small town and you could leave your door open all day and night and not worry. Things have changed since then though.
