I know how you feel, I once knew some people who immigrated here from Scotland. There was no snow, and they were devastated. But it did hail their first Christmas here, which is the closest thing you get to snow where I live. :)

I know this is old, but I finally have an update - I went to the snow!

I started this thread the same month that I joined, about 8 or so years ago now. In 2019 I finally got to experience the snow

It was at a ski resort, though we didn't stay there and didn't go skiing, but they had areas where you could do other things. I went with my partner and her family; we built a snowman, threw snowballs, went snow sledding down a hill... it was amazing! Oh and we made a bunch of snow angels ! I've wanted to try making them ever since I was a kid watching others do it in TV shows. I tried replicating it at the beach a couple of times, but it's just not the same as doing it in the snow.

Now, I must admit it wasn't during Christmas (or the Christmas season), so I'm yet to experience a white Christmas - but regardless it was amazing.

Still on my list of things to do:
Experience a white Christmas, and
Go to the snow while it's snowing! For some reason I never considered the possibility that it might not snow when I'm there ah well, another thing to look forward to :)

I would love to experience some snow, I want to build a snowman and have snowball fights with my friends.
