I've taken them out to lunch before, chatted with them and bought them some clothes. They all ended up revealing how they were suffering from one mental illness or another, and I realize how I could just as easily be in their shoes, so I wanted to help them, because I know that is what I would want if I were in their shoes, someone to care.

Food and money, because they're human beings. Plus some clothes, hats, and gloves, and resource info.

Talking to the homeless is one of the greatest gifts you can give. One thing about homelessness that people tend to forget, you basically become invisible when you're on the street. You become disconnected from the community and the people who actually see you usually try to avoid you. You could go days without ever really talking to someone.

There's a great channel on youtube called Invisible People, where this guy goes around and just talks to the homeless and learns their story.

Granted I feel better by doing the little help I can to those in need I don't feel better in a selfish way its just even if I help in some way wether small or bigger its got make some positive difference no matter how big or small the change.

That's brilliant to hear. :) They are humans, of course -- all different people with their own histories, often who have had far fewer chances in life than a lot of us have. It's terrifying to me that when people fall under a collective identity like that, an identity that is burdened with lots of misconceptions and assumptions, they just become invisible to so many. Everyone can fall on bad times for little or no fault of their own, as we know here!
