No it isn't just you. I think it is natural when depression/stress sets in for too long. We all tend to go there from time to time.
You are the one who is down at the time, not anyone else. So how bad they have it shouldn't matter. It is you who needs help at the time.
I struggle with anxiety/depression myself. Medications didn't help and not much else did until I found Qi Gong last year. It is a form of meditative exercise. You might find it helpful. If not, that is alright. There is no one fix for everyone. I guess what I am saying, is look for something to help calm you when you are down. There are breathing exercises that can stop anxiety attacks in their track, that are worth looking up online.
