Default what would help you feel better

hello TTL friends, i thought i would put up a post for people to post what would make them feel better so that we could all get ours out there and maybe learn from other folks idea's.

myself when i was feeling suicidal going to the beach with my wife and daughter on weekends was very theraputic, just being on the beach and relaxing and closing my eyes and listening to the ocean and the birds was awesome.

Writing my feelings out on here. And talking to friends. Even watching some nice motivating movies.

To actually have an understanding family, and "true" friends that care about me and a shoulder to lean on when I am in need of support IRL.

That is a great idea, surfcaster. Maybe people who come here accidentally come across this post and find some help, that would be a good thing.

Restful sleep would make a huge difference for me. Waking up refreshed instead of exhausted, depressed and sometimes even nauseous... I can't even beginning telling how wonderful that would be. I have been dealing with this for a few years now: going to bed feeling exhausted, broken and lost... and waking up feeling even worse. I am thinking about quitting coffee and chocolate to see if that helps.

listening to music helps a lot.. and trying to focus on the small positive things around me.. like the colours of a tree, the way the sun shines through the leaves, the warmth of a coffee cup, the feeing of the wind on my cheek.. just trying to connect with something again helps me..

Good company, and a sense of accomplishment. I don't think I'm doing anything good at all, and it's very depressing because right now I feel like I'm at an impasse.
