Anyone addicted to distraction? Why do you distract yourself, from what? What do you use to distract yourself?

Anything and everything, for whatever reason. More often than not, reading, as access to internet and news or somewhat interesting things can be found, things that eat time.

Not always concious of doing it (being distracted), other times needing to do it from stress, voices, a difficulty to keep on what needs doing, or simply inept in all.

For me it's both necessary and unnecessary, a blessing and a curse, can't get the right balance.

I know you also have a need for distractions to some extent. How are you managing the balance of all lately SG?

I wish it could be a balance of work and play! There isn't much play for me.

For me I need the distractions to function. The right amount of distractions to complement a day is probably what others manage. I might get too much sometimes, or maybe less than others but with lack of balance with interruptions that are not desired (mental health) that don't allow to complete tasks. That's an unhealthy balance for me, or one I can't get control of.

I too need the distractions to cope with mental/emotional issues and to fight my smoking habit.

i need distractions to be myself..be it on gigs,at home,computer,music,fun,food,interaction bit of booze etc...without distraction i would be non existent==a zero in life..and i love and treasure people who distract themselves with the intention to feel good and to say to themselves==I am ALIVE...
