Finally finished Braid. It's only a three-four hour game, but I got distracted by other stuff about halfway through. It was a brilliant, brilliant, brilliant game though. Some of the puzzles were just genius and the rewarding feeling you get after figuring something hard is just fantastic...never felt that in any other games. The ending sequence was the best part of it by far though. Plus I sincerely think it's probably one of the prettiest games I've ever seen. I've always been a big fan of sprites and the hand painted backgrounds are stunning. Only downside I can think of it is that the plot is...confusing to say the least. It's very metaphorical and a lot of people have come up with their versions of what exactly happened...one of which I think fits more than others. Can ask for a link if you want it, it'll spoil the game for you if you haven't played it through yet though.
It really was a breath of fresh air after playing these generic grey action shooters. This was colourful, innovative, and elegant in its simplicity. Reminded me a lot of Portal in that way.
e. Not sure what will I play next...maby Psychonauts. Been meaning to play it for a while now. Thinking about buying Borderlands too, seems relatively interesting.
