Ummmm. Phew. Wow. Brain's a bit mushy. You know, I just read that at least 10 times. I'm not kidding. I think it's beginning to sink in. The RAM has sunken in...anyway....do they sell RAM for human brains?

If my processor is too "small"...well how do I know if it's too "small"? If it is, how do I make it, "bigger"??

And yep, have another PC question for you, unrelated to RAM and processors (big and small) and hard drives and ummm, the rest of all that...but I'll wait a while. Don't want your thinking cap to get all smokey.

My thinking cap is over clocked and liquid hydrogen cooled, except when it comes to remembering conversations and math. D:

Go to start > run > type in control panel and hit enter > system

Tell me what it says. It will tell me your OS your RAM amount and your Processor.

I have a desktop PC so I just right click on My Computer. :P I did this earlier when you mentioned it to Silent, which is what reminded me of my RAM situation...anyway...

Windows XP Home Edition 2002
Compaq Presario (I know you don't like Compaq)
AMD Athlon XP 3000+
2.09 GHz
704MB of RAM

I've no idea what 2 of those lines mean. Is that what you asked for??

Go update your computer at the Microsoft windows update website... you need service pack 2. I have a laptop with 2.5 GHz Pentium 4 M processor and 700 some MB of ram. You may be running a lot of background processes that are eating up your performance... I have no trouble with my computer's speed. tell me, what about your computer is slow?

Actually I do have Service Pack 2....but I didn't think it was important so I didn't add it to the list. Shows what I know.....

Ummm, some websites take a long time to load the pages. Like myspace, yahoo 360 pages, the web page designed by my old job. I have cable modem, but perhaps it's caused by the upload speed?? Which would lead into my other question that might cause fire....dangerous. And when my AVG runs, the pc gets REALLY slow.....which is why I sometimes stop the scan.

Speaking of scanning, you never told me how often I should scan the Ad-Aware program.....

It is perfectly normal for your computer to slow down while a anti-virus utility is running. Try making a "scan day" were you pick one day week where you run avg and ad-aware. Its really hard to diagnose what is the matter with your internet speed. Tell me is it only those pages? If it is you should contact your ISP to resolve the issue. What speed are you supposed to have with cable?

Oh my I've no idea what speed I should be at. I don't know how to even check what I'm at currently. As for the scans....you mean AVG doesn't have to run everyday? It currently runs everyday at 8pm.

No it's other pages too, just listed those off the top of my head. It's quite random actually. Sometimes even this forum will take longer than normal to load.

I am very impressed with your pc knowledge Zets. Are you sure you're only umm, 17??? I think.....Were you born knowing all this stuff?

I am almost 18 :P My friend *edits out name* who is a database designer says I am a star child with immense technology skills and moderate psychic powers.

Contact your ISP (internet service provider) about the web page problem.
You HAVE to scan every week. It is good if you scan with AVG every day.

I gotta go now and do chores, I hope things work out for ya. As long as you are happy with your pc's offline performance it doesn't sound like it needs any upgrades.

Ok, thanks Professor. Have fun with the chores.

And ummmmm, moderate psychic powers? Really? Or are you being sarcastic? Does anyone here have any of that? I have a strange situation that I'm dying to ask about....it's about a particular number.

I am not really psychic, just smart. :P I don't really believe in "psychic" powers. I do believe in extra sensory perception but that is really for another thread. :P
