I don't believe any serious scientists are concerned with that. I wouldn't worry about it.

theres a minimal risk but we can find out how the universe was created through it, why theres a little blue and green lump of rock, gas, and chemicals just floating in space, surrounded by millions of other planets. I thought there would actually be a religous backlash about it, but i have not heard of one. It`s broke down twice anyway so they are well behind scedual with it(years not days)

Yea I heard it won't be operational until 2012 and who knows what kinks they'll run into between now and then. It would be interesting though, I just know this is probably the most powerful thing we've ever created as a race... Powerful enough to create a tiny black hole, I mean what's scarier, a nuke or a black hole? One kills a lot, the other kills EVERYTHING lol.

I think it was just as dangerous when they were inventing Nukes. They weren't certain the chain reaction would ever stop and considered there to be a possibility that the reaction would destroy the earth itself.

There were people actually betting on whether or not the nukes would set the atmosphere on fire. It's a good thing they were wrong.
