What do you think will be created by the year 3009, assuming the universe is still around?

- For some reason, I predict different fuel stations for different cars. (Gas station, electrical station, hydro station, etc.)

- I think libraries will be completely redone so they would be offering temporary E-books to download

- Notebooks will be replaced by handheld word processors, complete with keyboards

ahh I guess the world will be completely unrecognisable. Its weird to think that by then, every single person alive in the world now will of been dead for at least like 900 years!

3D television will surely happen by then though

I think houses will be built into hills. or at least covered with greenery... I think that will happen kinda soon though, I've seen pictures of places like this.

I wonder if that would keep Hollywood from making a The House on Haunted Hill remake.

I think if we lasted that long the world would just be completely ridiculous with the technology and whatnot. If you think how much we've done in the past thousand years, its pretty inconceivable on what we would be like in another thousand years.

It's pretty impossible to think that far, but IF human race was still around...we'd have the technology to live ALOT longer, if not reaching immortality. We've already started our journey to bioengineering and nanotechnology and there's going to be some major changes in the next 20-30 years already. In thousand years i'm confident we've already mastered it all so well that we can evolve ourselves as human species, and create computers/robots that outwit humans (if we choose to do so, that is).

We'll have supercomputers that can contain a digital image of a person and replicators that can construct a person using the data. You could probably even reconfigure the person to make them just the way you want them to be, kind of like in the Sims games except it's a real person. This technology might happen within, maybe, a century.
