Default Adobe Flash Problem...very frustrating

I'm usually good with fixing stuff like this, but I'm stumped and I can't find an answer! This annoying pop up comes down on pretty much every website saying that flash is out of date. I update it, but it never works. I'm using Google Chrome as my browser and it's supposed to update flash automatically, but I read that it isn't being supported on Mac 10.5.x or earlier. I don't want to buy a Mountain Lion or whatever it is now...and I don't want to switch browsers either...but I don't know how to get this annoying thing to stop popping up. I downgraded to an older flash, but then it just pops up saying I need to update it.

Do you actually need to see the things it's saying it needs the flash for? If not you might be able to disable notifications someplace.

So I'll be bold
As well as strong
And use my head alongside my heart
So take my flesh
And fix my eyes
That tethered mind free from the lies

Yeah, I need it for most things. Disabling it means I can't see anything on youtube, some things for school, or pretty much any video that uses flash.

There have been 3 updates since Leopard (10.5)

You would need to update all three...
Snow Leopard $50
Lion $50
Mountain lion $20

Why don't you just use safari ?

Thanks so much! I believe it works for everything I need. No problems from it yet.
