The bloodless conquest

The act of conquering one's self allows the conquistador to live in a world free from anguish in regards to the various external possibilities which may happen outside of personal will(what may happen is not what is happening). It may be practical to be aware of what may be, but impractical to focus anxiety on what may be. All that exists in conquering ones self is reliant on actions that are not of hope, but will.

I keep on forgetting that some things are out of my control, some things just happen. That's why I get upset when something happens... I think it's my fault to some degree. I need to remember it is only within my control once it has got to me... once it happens. Then I can choose how to get rid of it.


Other things were in my head rather than outside of it but I also didn't see them coming so I couldn't do anything about it till it got to me... so it's the same story as with stuff outside my head.

Then there are the things that have always been part of me, so I can control them.
