Red bull's sebastian vettel wins the australian grand prix
 

So the first one of the new season is over with a win for the Red Bull team with Vettel in Melbourne.

When I was a 7 year old child I gave my parents a laugh as I read the words "GRAND PRIX" as "GRAND PRICKS", as you would do when you are an innocent kid unaware of the French pronounciation of the words.

But now, when I look as these overpaid sods racing around in cars that the ordinary man or woman on the street will never drive (or afford), I cannot help but think that my childish mispronounciation was perhaps correct.

ill second that. I think the GP rules need to be changed again to make the cars simpler. The changed it for the better a few years ago, thats when ferrari stopped winning every race because the computers in those cars could drive and basicaly fix the car on the go. The only thing the computers couldnt do was refule itself.
But the specs of those cars are mind boggling. They squeze 1700hp from a 2.5l engine. They can go from 0-120-0 in under 6seconds

I prefer WRC tbh, way more skill involved and its far more exciting. At least GP is better than NASCAR....... Im gonna have some hillbillys turn up on my doorstep now
