I'm purging a lot more than I normally do. It's like a vent for depression, as well as a way to get rid of food, if that makes any sense at all. I'm really struggling to eat proper meals at all, and I'm scared. I'm tired of all of this. I hate the way I look in a mirror. I look at myself and think 'ou haven't got a lot going for you, have you?' I try to think positively, I try to have balanced meals but I can feel myself getting more dependent on purging and I'm scared.
Exercise is really only the best way you could help yourself.
It boosts your self esteem, keeps your mind off things, helps you to get fit and sleep properly. It also produces hormones that put you on a natural high.
It would be worth giving it a shot.
I totally know how you feel. I haven't been there for a while thankfully, and recently I'm managing to eat properly without purging (well, for the most part), but it's something that weighs on my mind. My best advice is what I did: try to exercise regularly and eat healthily (without denying yourself the occasional treat). If you're doing this, you'll feel less guilty and less likely to purge, plus the exercise and good food can give a lift to your mood.
If you do purge, try not to let it get you down, simply take it one day at a time. If you go from doing it daily to doing it every other day, to once or week or whatever, well that's progress. Take little steps. Also, can I ask, do you binge and purge or do you purge without binging? Also, do you calorie count?
