It's Over ...
Some of you hung out with me when my Mom was put on Hospice. I just got back from her funeral. She died of end stage dementia ...
One of the things she said while she was in the nursing home was that she wished she could just fly away from there to somewhere else. So my dad picked "I'll fly away" as one of the songs at her service, and I found a place that sold butterflies to release, and we held a butterfly release at her graveside.
I'm sad, but I'm sad as much about the long journey to death as I am about her being gone, in fact at the end, I kept hoping it would end soon for her.
I dreamed about her several times since she died, something I hadn't done before. It's hard losing a Mom ... and trying to help Dad go on.
Anyway, for anyone who remembered and helped me through the tough moments, I just wanted to say "Thank you." Being here is a special safe place to be.
awwww im so sorry... i cant begin to imagine how you feel... my mom is the only person keeping me sane.. and there is something special between mothers and daughters i think.. i think its nice you dream about her... im sure its your mom letting you know shes ok..
My condolences for your loss, you'll be in my thoughts and prayers
My condolences on your loss.
How are you doing?
How long was your mother in hospice?
I lost my mother more than 10 years ago. I have never known such sadness.
I agree, being here is special.
