hello Jupiter.
Sorry your caught between a rock and a hard place with this. Maybe they can lessen the dosage to make it tolerable and make up some of the difference with a similar med. At least look into it. don't just go cold turkey b/c it's built up in your system.

I hear ya. Went off my all my meds yesterday and the side effects are no fun. The others are right that this should be done under doctors care.

I am on the smallest dose of abilify,...and I even break it in half,.....like I said,..it's not up to my doctor,..it's up to me,...the side effects are intolerable,.....I am doing the best I can,...I just don't want to go through this anymore,.....

I know that you don't want the side effects any more dear, I truly understand. Would you at least call your doctor & tell s/he then. I truly do care & am only trying to help. I've only got your best intrest at heart.

Aries,..sometimes a little bit of knowledge is a bad thing,...the Doctor that prescribed it,...I work for her,..I am also her pt.,.... I know what is going on,...I know all about the side effects of these meds...and they all cause the same ones,...I started taking it again,..I just wasn't feeling well off of it,...I have to weigh the pros and cons of it,....I aready spoke with the Doctor,..She knows it's up to me.....There is another medication I can take to alleviate the symptoms of the abilify,......just don't like to take meds...........Thanks Aries,...for caring.........

yes,..the side effects really suck!!!!
I had therapy tonight,..and we talked about my meds,...and it really comes down to 'every day living',...How I function,..day in and day out,....on the meds,....and how I function off the meds,.....it's a compromise,...a big one sometimes,..apparently,...I need to stay on my meds or I will end up killing myself,......that is my alternative.......
