Default Mirtazapine

I was just wondering those on mirtazapine what the side effects are.
I'm on 45mg and have really bad restless arm and leg at night and extremely dry mouth by the morning (so much that I don't have any saliva in the mouth at all by morning) and the most frustrating side effect or i think is side effect is my temper. I am so arguementaargumentative and a very sharp tongue and iv e always been a calm person and deal with things but there's no dealing with something if someone disagrees with me I just fly off the handle.
Anyone else like this with this meds.

How long have you been on the medication? As far as I understand it is something you should relate to your doctor/psychiatrist as a concern - my doctor told me to call him whenever I needed to if I had concerns with my meds (and then last week went on vacation...).

I am taking Escitalopram (Lexapro as I think better known), and have dry mouth all the time, often restless arms/hands, sometimes legs. But I've almost always been calm and have remained so with this medication.

I am sorry I can't say with your exact medication - it makes me wonder how doctors decide which meds to put people on - and hope somebody else here can help more. But please do note to your doctor your concerns.

Take care

When I took Mirtazapine, the only side effect I had was drowsiness, certainly not aggression.

Thank you. I have been and spoken to my own go about it and she has said that I'm having bad reactions to it so I'm reducing gradually and we are going to talk of a different one once I'm off this.

Great to hear Lilyfrog, I'm glad you had a positive result in checking over all. Thanks for letting us know.

How long do you need to come down from this before trying the new one?

Good luck!

It will take 3 weeks to get down to basic levels. My gp and I will sit down next week and talk about a different one to try and see where we go from there.
