Default Looking for a antidepressant that won't impair my physical performance

Hi,

I had to discontinue taking effexor because of poor liver values. I also wanted to quit this medication because it had a big effect on my physical performance in sports. When playing soccer, I was exhausted earlier and was sweating heavily.

My doctor suggested taking Cipralex (Escitalopran) or Ixel. Ixel is eliminated from the body by the kidneys, Cipralex by the liver, so I have the fear, that the bad liver values will come back with cipralex.

On the other hand, I read that Ixel has a big influence on the physical performance and that it increases the pulse rate heavily.

Do you have any suggestions for me which medicament could suit me the best? Coming of the effexor I realize how much this medicament increased my quality of living, I only wish there weren't the side effects.

Thank you very much!

I can't advise you on the specific meds, cause taht's not my area of expertise. I can advise you not to rely on a single medical professional.

You might want to ask a different psychologist for a second opinion. Its possible he/she will find options the first one didn't come up with (or didn't want to).
