Have you tired holding something in your fingers, like a carrot or something like that? It can also help with trying to quit. You'll have something "occuping your fingers and your mind." The other thing is, when you want one, smoke it less. Instead, just take a couple of puffs and slowly cut down that way. The withdrawls, if you have problems with them ( I know I do) they seem to be less. They also have those Electronic Cigarettes. They're expensive, but they do work also. You just have to buy the refills for them. Just another suggestion.

I hear you - I quit for over two years when my son was born - no problem at all

and then - the breakup came and I have been smoking wickedly. I HATE IT!

I have been exercising as well - running, cardio and I keep wondering, how much farther can I go if I just quit.

Now that I'm getting my life back together I know it'll be the next step. I've quit coffee, alcohol (don't do any other drugs), eating better - this is the last vice..grrr

goodluck, I'm shooting for a week to start.

I'd like to quit smoking, but I'm worried I'll get even fatter if I do. Plus when I get sad I chain smoke because I know it's killing me. If I didn't smoke I'd cut myself or something.

If you're concerned with any kind of weight gain, you can always eat things that are health for you. I admit, I get really mean, when I quit smoking. I couldn't be around people, not at all. We all go through our own withdrawls, but there's always ways we can handle them; positively! There's always support places, hot lines, and things like that, we can utilize.

This electronic cigarette is actually working pretty well. and it was cheap too!

Most of the other electronic cigarettes I found were just expensive. And plus it charges into the USB port of any computer!

It kind of seems like a vanity item, but it's been working, so I can't really complain.
