No better today. I went over the docs and all he gave me was Co-codamol. The muscles in my thigh keep going into spasm and I can watch them moving and part of my shin has gone numb, the shin bone is very painful and so is my back side. When I stand on it either the knee of hip can give out.
-----Getting so fed up with it now. Looks like I could be spending Christmas laid up at home.

Not been on for a few days as even putting the laptop on my leg hurts. On Wednesday I went to the A&E as the pain had grown intolerable, my back, hip and leg were agony and I could hardly walk.
-----So after hobbling up to the triage nurse were everyone else could see I was in agony, she decided that there was nothing they could do and I needed to go back to my doctor, wait three weeks for the next appointment to see him and another three months before I got sent for an X-ray and that would be if I got lucky. God knows how long I would wait for treatment after that.
-----I was having none of it. I explained to her that I was in so much pain that I could hardly walk and was it really fair to make someone wait that long who was in that kind of pain add to that, I lived alone. In the end she let me through but put me on the lowest priority. so I had to sit in the waiting room and watch others come in after me with small cuts go in to see the doctor before me. The hard plastic chair did not help either. In the end I complained about it and finally got in to see a doctor.
-----The doctor straight away saw how much pain I was in and she was lovely. She did all kinds of tests on me and even got my back and hips X-rayed as she suspected I had broken a bone in my spine. It turned out I had not but while I was there she gave me morphine and I was pain free for a while. She gave me some Diclofenac pills these are a pain killer and anti inflammatory. The pain has reduced but not gone and it is still difficult to walk.
-----The Doctor also booked me in for an MRI on Friday.
-----So now it is wait and see.
-----Wish I could have more morphine.

MB, that morphine is quite addictive from what I hear so please be careful with that stuff but I'm glad it worked for you. Let us know how the MRI goes for you on Friday.
I'm so curious I would make sure they check everything if I could. I'd slip my whole body in there if I could. I would love a total body MRI, I just want to know what's going on.
I really think you should look into Accupuncture too. Have you ever tried it? There's just something to it. Keep us updated. I can't believe this is lasting a few days now. Thought it would go away sooner.
Be good and take care. TooMuch

I have not got any morphine but the pills they have given me have started to build up in my system and take effect so the pain is better than it was. The hip and leg are still very weak and it keeps on giving out on me and the pills are making me feel a bit sleepy but that is better than being in bad pain.
-----The scan should show up what has gone wrong on Friday so it will be a case of take it from there. Hopefully what they will find will not be too bad but the in the meantime I am trying to carry on as normal.
------Will update when I have some news of what is going on.

Hey MB, it's been awhile, how are you feeling today? Are you getting any better? Just wondering.

Yes, I am feeling better. The pills they gave me up the hospital have taken a lot of the pain away. The leg is still very weak and gives out when I put too much weight on it and the pills make me a bit drowsy. Apart from that I am fine.
-----How are you.
