Default Sciatica.

I have an attack of sciatica for the past week and to say it is agony is putting it mildly.
-----Does anyone get this and if you do how do you treat it. ATM it is in one hip and down that leg. It was in the lower part of my spine but that has gone but it has moved to the hip and the leg. Wish it would go as I am sick of being stiff and in pain.

MolurusI am sorry that you are in such pain

I have never had it, but I knew when a friend's husband had it as she told me. He had to be taken to the A&E that weekend it happened... I don't remember how it was treated... I could ask her though when I see her if you like?

Have you ever had it before now? Do you think seeing a doctor will help?

Thank you and please do. The pain killers I have here will not touch it. The big muscle down the front of my thigh keeps going into spasm and I can see it moving. It has never been this bad.
-----If go to the docs I will have to wait up to three weeks for an appointment. I may do better going to the A&E but that is really for more critical cases.

It says I can take Diasipam for this to relax the muscles. Good. Got some and just taken one, hope it works. Put a cold compress on it as well (pack of frozen veg).

Thank you celery.
