Default Pain

I had some bloods taken this morning, the nurse wants to see if I have arthritis. :(

I'm only 38 and I'm a bit upset about this.

My left hand and right knee are very painful and at time I can hardly move my left hand and it's so stiff and sore.

This is taking its toll on my mh too, I'm really not so good at the moment. This in itself causes problems as the more I feel down the more likely I am to forget my meds, which in turn can make me worse as its always the morning meds I forget, and those and the anti-depressants.

Anyway I have a week to wait for the results.

I hope you feel better and that it's not anything life-threatening

In regards to the forgetting to take your meds, maybe you can put a reminder/alarm on your phone? That's what I do with my birth control :)

Thank you all.

The nurse said the results would be back in a week. I always believe that bad news travels fast where medical matters are concerned, so the longer it takes the better!

Arthritis is in the family sadly.

pain can mess you up.. like slowly wear you down.. so like try to remember your meds and stuff.. set an alarm, or make it like a routine??

Thank you all for your kind thoughts.

I'm very pleased that the blood test came back negative for rheumatoid arthritis. The anti-inflammatories are helping, especially the knee, but the hand is still very stiff and I find it hard to get it moving, but this does ease off as I get going in the morning.

I have decided to go back to weight watchers to lose the remainder of my weight, I have already lost about six and a half stone but I put a little back on again. So am determined this way to lose the rest, which will help if I am facing knee problems.

Glad to hear it too :)

Weight watchers? How do they work?

My boyfriend was 215-220lbs and he's now 170lbs and it's been about 5 months, I think. Just changed his diet and walks about 2 miles a day. On his walk, he'll stop every so often to do squats and push-ups to work out as well.

If he can do it, you can do it!!!! :D
