I got out of a bad relationship a few years ago. Since I did I have had sex twice with two different people. Both were unsatisfying one night stands. I have not had good sex in years and I am starting to miss it. Currently 5'8" and 250 lbs. The women in my "weight class," are not appealing to me and I am sure that I am not appealing to the women that I would like to bed. Going crazy. Must lose weight so that I can have good sex again.

if you can muster up the drive for excercise than that should help with everything. exercise is kind of a cure-all, you loook better and you feel better.

Yeah, at the beginning of the year I weighed 265. Would like to get down to 200 by December. Thanks.

Not to burst your bubble, exercise is fantastic!, but losing weight is not going to be a magic ticket to some girl's lady parts. Confidence is key, as is good grooming and dress, and just having the guts to go up to a girl and chat with her.

One of my favorite blogs that deals with this is Paging Dr. Nerdlove. Even though he's writing specifically to "Nerds" his love advice is good for anyone that's shy or inexperienced.

I'm not shy and I'm certainly not inexperienced, but it is a fact of life that skinny people don't generally hook up with large people. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen but those hookups are not the norm. I have found, as I said, that the only people that seem to appreciate my advances are in my weight range. If I reduce my weight then I am hoping to open up new possibilities. I am a pretty good looking guy (average height, blue eyes, full head of hair) and I can afford to dress well, I'm just tubby.

At the moment it is just burning more calories than I take in which includes cutting out fast food entirely, limiting myself to one sugary drink/day, drinking plenty of water, and cooking all of my own meals.

one sugary drink per day? you mean like soda? eww. ;)

sounds like a reasonable plan, although exercise would do more for you, like release some nice chemicals into your system. i'm not really exercising regularly myself either, but god knows i'm trying. one steady walk a day would work wonders for you, think about it.

Congrats on hitting the 240!

Instead of saying less disgusting, maybe say More attractive? Not that im ever good with this but it would keep your mind more focused on getting to where you want. Rather then remembering your old self.
