Default I think my Dr thinks I'm a hypocondriac

I have so many medical issues that I'm pretty sure my Dr is really getting frustated, and thinks I'm a hypocondriac. There's some days I wonder myself if I am. I'm so tired of having crap go wrong with me all the time, and its never just an easy fix. My white cell count is always elevated, I have degenerative disc disease, I have a heart condition, connective tissue issues, diabetic, major depression, panic attacks and anxiety. Thats just the top of the list. I know he's frustated that I always have issues, and my depression and pain are not getting any better, but its like he doesn't belive me that I'm in pain, or can't understand why my depression, anxiety, and panic attacks aren't getting better with the meds I'm on.. I'm so frustated! Now I also have stomache problems and a hernia...really? how much more crap can go wrong! I'm so tired of battling the depression, and all the medical problems, I just don't know how much more I can take.

Yeah, I have the same problem with my Doctor at one point I tried to move to another doctor but it would of cost me $$ and when I went to the other doctor she didn't seem much better, so I just stayed put.

So completely understand. At this point I've given up with these doctors and have started Naturopathic Medicine, Accupuncture and the such.

I too have many health problems. The latest is digistive problems. I have a very strong burning in my digistive system, it is not acid reflux. I called my GI doctor and voiced my symptoms (weak, cold, bloated, metallic taste and smell). He told me its in my mind.

psychological-. A few years ago, I started to voice how I was feeling-the doctor said it was psychological, when I said that I felt like passing out, I had a neck scan--I had stage 4 cancer in my neck. Its only been 9 months since having major surgerie, I was in intensive care for 3 days and in crittigal care for 4 days.

How do I tell the doctors that something is wrong??

As much as I hate to say it, often by establishing a history with your doctor, that when you say there is something, it has proven to be true. I know that isn't easy. Sometimes it also means you have to try a new doctor. Some doctors seem to operate on the idea that all patients with a list of issues are trying to make stuff up. Some doctors really listen and operate more under the assumption that something is really wrong if you came in. The symptoms you describe, faxman, are real symptoms of something being changed/different/not right. I'm glad they found a problem in need of attention as soon as they did. The medical world is tricky and challenging, even for the best of us. Good luck to you all!

when I go see my primary care doctor, all he does is type a short version of what I tell him. He just refers me to a different doctor. I cant just seek another primary care doctor-I am on state insurance and my choice of dr's is nile
