No, but I've been wanting to. They're so expensive though and my insurance isn't the best, so it's something that I'll have to put off for a while.

that's too bad, are u sure they wouldn't cover it? it seems to me like it is important, because it can be serious. what did your doc think about it possibly being sleep apnea? did they think it a possibility, or not mention it, or brush it off as "it's something else"?

My doctor just chalked it up as a result of Generalized Anxiety Disorder and gave me a refill for Zoloft. I've been looking for another doctor. It seems like every time I have any strange symptoms that warrant a little concern he doesn't seem too worried and says it's just caused by depression or anxiety. Of course it's very plausible, but it'd be nice to figure out what all the potential causes could be and rule them out one by one than just making assumptions.

i hate when doctors do that. just because someone suffers from depression doesn't mean they don't have physical problems too. i'd go for a 2nd opinion

I was going to say sleep apnea too; my son's dad has that.

But once when I was anxious/depressed I thought I was going to die and woke up after seeing the most depressing black hole. It was anxiety/depression, that black hole, and made me anxious/depressed. First it was just depression actually, then I became anxious it could swallow me up (whereas I just felt it was definitely going to no matter what in the depression stage).

Maybe you have anxiety/depression AND sleep apnea? My son's father has both (and is slightly overweight). Oh, and he's on disability and the sleep studies are covered where he is in Texas. He's also going to get a great stimulant for the sleep apnea that will also help with his depression!
