"Currently I'm cold all the time and I have gained weight apparently my Thyroid levels are in the normal area, well low normal. wait and see." I was constantly cold, but I was losing weight. I was having problems, also, with food getting stuck in my throat. I just had to take smaller bites, and swallow things, very slowly. I sincerly happy, that your's isn't that enlarged, as some pictures I've seen.

I know, you know, you need to keep up on things. I just wasn't aware of everything going on. I just want you to take care of you!

It's nice to have someone on here that understands how this stuff works.
Take Care.

It helps, when somebody else has gone through it. Then you can know, what to expect and what test(s) they'll preform or any procedure(s) they may want. Just trying to help.

i have hypothyroidism with hashimotos disease which attacks the thyroid and have been on medication for 10 years. I am always tired, poor memory and concentration among other things. I also believe that's why i suffer from depression. sometimes graves can end up turning into hypo when the thyroid runs out of steam. Doctors don't seem to care too much about us with thyroid probs and figure the pills fix everything but they don't for everyone. I hope you never lose your sight and life gets better for you.

suckstobeme - Thank you! I hope I don't lose my sight either!

Things that I have read, seen pictures of, articles I've read, at least so far, there seems to be no true cure for it. As I get older, my vision changes, not for the better either. I have times, where things are out of focus, and blurry. I have glasses, which are suppose to help, but I just don't have the money, to get a new pair. I was told, my vision's changing and need a new script. So, now, I just try to take my thyroid medication, see my doctor, and try to get my eyes checked yearly. I haven't had them checked in 2 years or maybe a little less. I know this year, I haven't. It scares me, to be quite honest. To lose something, I value so much....

I'm sorry to hear that the Grave's disease effected your eyes that way. It's terrible. My sister has it in one of her eyes. It isn't really bad but it is noticeable. She had radiation therapy to kill her thyroid and now take pills to function. It sucks without a doubt.

Well, here's an update. I have to go see my endocrinologist in the next couple of days. My Grave's Disease is getting much worse and so is my vision. My eye (left side) is starting to protrude out. My vision in my eyes are starting to become blurry and not as focused/clear as it use to be. I'm supposed to be using glasses, but unable to afford getting an updated persciption on them. It's not a good thing to have. I'm deeply concerned, because it can cause blindness. (I posted a website, for people that are intrested in reading about it.) I truly don't want it to get so bad I need surgery. He already mentioned that to me, the last time I saw him. He said it's not bad, but it's not good either. It can get so bad, the eye comes out of the socket. Which he doesn't want that to happen to me. I already had a bad experience with one surgery. Not sure I can honestly handle going under again.

Furthermore, I want to tell you something...

When i first joined i thought WOW this Aries girl has been through more than i could ever have gone through, and i prayed for u from day 1. I hope NOBODY judges ANYONE here let alone Aries as she has given so much advice and love to this forum, i pray people can give it back.

People tend to feel sorry for themselves with depression etc, i know i do sometimes, but what your going through, i think many should cherish the fact they are alive, healthy(ish) because if anyone deserves the world, its Aries.

People here (me even if no1 else is) will always be here for you, no matter what. When i said hello to you for the first time your attitude to life is so infectious, amongst other things but if i were to list them id be here forever :). Fuck it, im gonna list some of um cos if i cant take the time for u, i cant for no one.

I'm sure your a great parent, your attitude to your daughter is infectious and u hold her in such high esteem that really, she is so lucky to have a mum like you. I know lots of people who have not been as lucky with life in general (at the start i mean) and get 'delt a shit hand' i.e. not loving parents etc. I think what you think about your daughter is so amazing and as i said, n i'll say it until you get it in your head hunny, she is lucky to have a mum like you.

I'm lucky to have a friend (if you dont mind me calling you my friend of course) like you. I have learnt a lot from you my friend and i continue to learn a lot from you. I know that if i could be 1/10th of the person you are, i'd be such a good person.

I know this is the longest post i've ever made but believe it or not i do feel passionate about some things and some people, Aries, YOU are one of them.

The respect you have for other is absolutely unbelievably perfect. You talk to others how you wish to be treated, which i wish i could do.

I only listed about 1% of the things that make Aries amazing, but i hope you get the point.

Your contribution to this forum has been undeniably amazing. Long may it continue hun. You give PERFECT advice based on Real-Life situations.

Your a great pair of ears, your a caring, loving, generous, kind, and amazing person.

If anyone even attempts to judge Aries, dont bother posting. I know no1 will judge you, because your such an amazing person and NO ONE has NOTHING against you ever. But i know people can be nasty. But if you are, i've given up on the human race.

No one is nicer, sweeter, more caring than you Aries.

So why did i post all of this?

Because this is how i feel, and i want you to know, i truly wish you the best, not just today, not just tomorrow, not just the day after but forever, because you WILL be in my prayers.

All the best,

Mitchell.

CottonRox - I sincerely thank you for your kind words/thoughts.

I'm far from perfect and am grateful to have wonderful people here that support each other; in their times of need(s). It's nice to know that I (like many others here) can and do support each other. I make my mistakes, like we all do, but being part of a wonderful, caring, and helpful community makes it easier for us all to feel that we're not truly alone.
