Default D-I-S-C-I-P-L-I-N-E discipline.

Discipline is my lesson du jour. Everyday it's a struggle to eat healthy, to go running and then to stretch so that I don't have any injuries. To go to work day after day to sit there hour after hour. I tell myself just one day off or skip one exercise or just one brownie, but the more that I give in, the harder it is to go back!

I have trouble with this too! This year I'm trying to systematize my goals, it does help a bit with staying disciplined, I'll copy the post I made about it in another thread below.

Every time I get a craving to do something I shouldn't be doing (like eating a brownie), I say to myself 'this is your body resisting positive change'. The human body/mind is strange, it always seems to resist what's best for it, so you have to become aware of it so you can overcome it.

Default How Sugar kills

Helping ourselves is hard. Why the body pushes for something unhealthy, I'm not sure but I struggle against it too.

I read that if you cut all sugar out of your diet (and all fake sweeteners too) for a period of time like a month, you won't crave them any longer. There is some interesting advice out there that sugar is the big evil that really causes us the weight and even maybe emotional problems. I haven't cut all the sugar from my life yet, but I like to read and learn about it so when I'm strong enough to do it, I can.

Here's a cool link about the big evil of sugar.
