I'm bloated again tonight and drinking water right now. I also got activia yougurt today. Got prune juice also. Took my Restore lax today and Psyillium husks. I just took a few days off, to give my body a break and 'wham'. it's back. Like I said drinking water as I write this too. Only thing left for me to do is exercise. I know it works for me but haven't had the chance yet. I know if I walk on the treadmill I'll be getting some movement. Hopefully tomorrow I'll go to the gym to get back my digestive health.

I also have an appointment with a gastro type doctor next month to deal with this.

I'm tired of trying to keep on top of this though.

Default do you have IBS-C?

i don't know if you said or not. I had this problem as well for a few months, the docs said I have diverticulosis and probably IBS. it goes in cycles for me. so I was taking fiber supplements and miralax..and i only eat veggies and whole grains..so you'd think it would be fine. but it wasn't. it wasn't lack of fiber or water, it was just my colon not moving. the doctor thought about some kind of medicine with an R but I was like, I don't know. I started looking up everything I could about IBS. they say it can be triggered by stress but they mostly focused on IBS with diarrhea.
anyways. I was in so much pain I did go to the ER but they gave me valium because they said it relaxes the muscles, and mine were spasming from the inside of my left hip all the way round to my spine. my stomach looked huge, i had to wear sweats. the pain went away. not much else happened.
lately i have started meditation, and I do hypnosis apps for peace of mind. then i missed some days of fiber supplements and just wasn't hungry, just drank water for a whole day.
for some reason, the constipation just completely reversed to going bathroom three times a day. maybe i was stressing? Maybe too much fiber( a doc told me it was possible. he also said too much senna has an opposite affect, but senna makes my face puff up so I can't use it)
I don't know exactly what happened, i am just glad it's over. my tummy has been fine all week, after months of miralax and metamucil. I have bipolar disorder and have been raging lately( this whole week) and i am hoping it was just stress and i just didn't know it.
maybe the meditation and hypnosis allowed me to de-stress and let my colon finally chill out? I don't know. something happened. ( not to gross you out, i wasn't impacted with hard matter...it was always soft when it did come out, from all the water and fiber. it just was that my colon just would stop)

I've had IBS for over 25 years so I understand that completely, infact yours sounds much the same. This is different. But the water, restorelax, psyhillum husks and fiber have been helping. I also notice exercise works too. I've deflated this week. Lol! But it's a daily effort.

As for stress, yeah it aggravates the IBS for me too. I've done Accupuncture, Bio-feed Back therapy to help with stress. Some say Bio Feedback therapy doesn't work, it's quack type of stuff but it works for me. Haven't gone in years. I even think going for a massage and reflexology is good because it's time for yourself and forces you to relax.

I have depression and Generalized Anxiety disorder. Currently not medicated for either. I get the IBS thing though.

I am glad that some things are working for you and that your pooping is improving :)

Hope you are doing good in other aspects of life too. :)
