Ever get people rolling their eyes at you when you try to tell them a funny little story about your animal family member? I do. So let's brag here!

I would love to read others' stories about their loved fur/fin/feather etc. family.

Here's one of mine:

My dog perks up and starts to drool at the sound of a beer can being popped open. Yep, my dog loves beer!

So we say his breed is "Norwegian Elk-aholic!"

Nothing like sitting on the deck having a beer with my dog. Problem is, he growls at me when I don't refill his little bowl on time!

LOL! Almost spit my drink at that one. My dog will run into the kitchen when I`m opening a beer, sit pretty and smack her lips.

Many funny stories with our dog. One was last year when I let her out. She started rolling in the grass, I took out my phone and snapped a picture of her. She stopped, looked at me. I was grinning. She gave a loud annoyed bark, snorted in disgust and resumed rolling. At that I started laughing.

A while ago now but i took my dog for a walk one day, she was so excited she ran straight into the back of a parked car. Shook herself off and carried on like nothing happened. Another time i came back from the library to find she'd got a bit too nosy about the inside of a cardboard box and got it stuck on her head.

yes my cats like boxes a bit too much sometimes too. They do lots of cute things. But my male ragdoll cat like to experiment with food and generaly chewing things that look like they might be tasty or just that might want munched up a bit. So im used to him munching on unusual things. Unfortunatly sometimes thats the edge of my iphone which im not so happy about . But i think its something cute about him. He like plastic especialy. But the other day i was changing my pet birds food and water bowl. And i caught him drinking out the bowl which okay he often does things like drinking my houseplant water and things like that. But then he started eating the bird seed and was really tucking into it proper. !! You weirdo . So i thought there will be none left for the birds and i dont know if its too good for him anyway but maybe its natural. So i tried to take it off him. But he meowed at me in protest so i thought. I put a bit on a plate for him. And he muched the whole lot!!. He likes me goldfish food as well but thats more logical. Im not sure what he will be trying next. You gotta love him thought he so sweet.

------Where to start as there are several.
------Sitting reading a book on the sofa one summer afternoon when I looked up to see something strange. Opposite where I was sitting was some silk flowers in a brass vase. One was peach another was orange, there was also a red one. One of the flowers was nodding its head and as there was no wind blowing in this seemed rather odd. The other two flowers were still. So watching this I spotted that it was the bright orange flower that moved every time and not the other two. Curiosity got the better of me and taking a much closer look at this flower I discovered why it was moving.
--------From inside the petals there was a lovely little face peering out at me. Her skin was shades of the same bright orange as the flower, so at first I did not spot her but then I spotted two large eyes that looked like rubies and a pink flickering tongue. Little Summer looked so cute sitting inside the flower. She is a colour morph and so she is bright orange rather than the wild reddish brown and a kind of albino. She was only a few weeks old at the time so still a tiny baby. She allowed me to take her out of the flower and sat calmly on the palm of my hand while she looked up at me looking like cuteness overload.
-------This tiny little corn snake had got out of her vivarium through a tiny air hole. She had been there earlier as I had cleaned her out and gave her fresh water so when I found her in the flower I did not know she had escaped. The hole was fixed so there were no more escapes. Little Summer grew up into a beautiful adult corn snake and she kept her vivid orange colouring.

my cat [i often call her mana as a symbol for the overly hyperactive cat she is] has killer hunter instincts but the greatest cowardness i ever witnessed.. even when she attacks me and my family she immidietly runs away into cover scared of the consequences

I volunteer at an animal shelter. When I get home, my cat Sammy has a tendency to smell me because I am carrying the scents of other cats. Now, being the alpha male that he is, he started swatting at me, thinking I am another cat. So I washed my hands, and that approach seemed to work, because he hasn't bothered to swat me since.
