awwww ur cat is soooo cute!!!!

He is a totally spoiled little brat. When the other cats in my house come and try to give me attention he will sulk and stalk them until they either make room for him, or run off. He is quite large and our other cats are kinda petite...but he makes up for all of his brattiness when I am lying in bed trying not to cry and he comes up and starts nuzzling my face or putting his nose to my lips like a sweet kiss.

He is about three or four. There is a long story involved in our relationship and while my om and I have four other cats, Morpheus is the only one that is just mine.
When I first got with my om around 8 years ago I had this petite little cat named Mystique. He was frail and yet so spirited. He always took good care of me and after several years his health got worse. I took him to the vet and they told me that he had this rare disease and wouldnt live a year. Two years later he was really weak and I was broken in two over losing him but I knew that if I didn't tell him that I would be ok if he was ready to move on in the flesh. I sang to him all night long, until I was so tired that I passed out. He died at my feet. I buried him around five am. I made sure to bury him with his pentacle. (he would just strut and pose when he wore his necklace..he was so proud)
After he died I was so sad and I couldn't think that another cat would fill the void, so I tried not to love again. When I came across an older pagan lady who reminded me that our soul mates can be in any form and that the ones we love always come back to us in one way or another. A year or so later I was picking my om's mom up at work and I was drawn to this truck where they were giving away kittens. My heart was still sore from the loss of Mystique so I knew when I went to see that I would just look. When I got to the back of the truck there was this sweet little grey baby sleeping his little head off. I thought he was solid but when I took him in my arms I saw that the very tip of his tail looked like it had been drug in wet paint. He opened his eyes and gave me this..look. It was soul searching and later that night I asked him what he wanted his name to be and he looked at me again. What shocked me then was the color of his eyes. You see Mystique has these intense green eyes and Morpheus' eyes were always more of a silvery grey. But he looked at me and his eyes were Bright Green and he meowed in a voice that was just like Mystique's. I knew at that moment that I had been graced with the love of a soul mate and that no matter how long we waited, we would always find our ways together. He is unlike any feline I have ever encountered, and while I know all pet owners believe that, I think that it is because I was blessed with the knowledge of his former life.
I know this will sound silly and unbelieveable, but people who knew Mystique, and also know Morpheus agree that while they are physically different, the bond I have with Morpheus is magical.

Was Morpheus named after the Matrix? That's a good name, I like unusal names for animals.
