Default Distract Myself?

So my therapist wants me to do the following:

1. Drop labels
2. Drop plans
3. Cultivate variety
4. Lived balanced

So I have no more way to cope with these voices. I'm just more or less "normal" and I find that hard to adjust to.

So I was thinking to just keep busy and distract myself. That doesn't involve labels, I have balance between work and play, my life involves variety, and it's sort of a plan, but not as extreme as "loner" or "sl*t".

What do you think?

1. When it comes to issues of social injustice, I like to feel like I'm doing something to rectify the situation. For example, when it comes to the old double standard (he's a stud, she's a slut), I like to just dive headfirst into a world of sex to feel like I'm sticking it to society, or go back in my shell and not speak to people I don't know so they won't find out about me and hurt me and so I feel like I don't have to forgive them for that.

2. A voice creeps in and I'm left with no coping strategies, like talking to myself (loner) or reading something very stimulating (sex). I'm just subject to whatever my brain has to throw at me.

3. On some level I like feeling different from the norm. I think it makes me more interesting. I also don't want to be anything like those conformist girls I hung out with at uni.

I guess that's why...

Well we are all unique in our own ways, and i know for fact that you are very unique, and thats a great thing. Even when some of our attitudes are same as mainstream ones, there are still things that make us unique, you, i and every person on this planet is unique.

So, having said all of this, how do you plan on distracting yourself from voices now? Sorry, got a little confused by your original posting.

Thanks for the compliment.

Distracting myself by: commenting on web sites/blogs, blogging, watching TV, talking on the phone, hanging out with friends and family, small talk with co-workers or whomever, sex, parties, working, listening to music, different things.

Thanks friend.

I don't really see how I'm so unique so if you don't mind, can you please tell, just curious...

Your whole structure of personality, yes some of your point of views will be common with some other people and such, but as whole person, you are in fact unique.

Well every person has certain personality, point of views, wishes, goals and such, all that is a complex structure that determines who we are. And there is no 2 people that are same in this whole world, maybe highly similar, but never the same. You like sex and you are open about it, you like being alone, but you like socializing too, you are kind person, caring, but yet strong, all of those things are not even a chunk of things that determine yourself, so trust me you are very unique. :)
