Talking What Console Games do you play to get away from it all?

For me, playing Halo 3 eaither for fun localy or competivly online helps.
it removes me from my state because i'll be focusing on playing.

I play all sorts.

Little big planet helps me get creative and lose myself in making levels.
Spending hours on Zelda, Okami etc
and Shredding up Zombies in L4D

What about you? i'd like to know

Also if you have a PSN or XBL and want to join up just message me
I dont have many Friends online so it'd be nice to game with ppl that have simular issues etc.

i like playing my nintendo wii when i can...it's nice to feel that my body's working away, not just my hands. And i like to play dance games most which is ironic as i hated dance at school (though that was because the other girls used to make a point of pointing and staring at me to make sure i knew i wasn't good). i otherwise play the sports games, but have been enjoying the rabbids tv party. Haven't tried much else yet...any wii games anyone recommends?

Yea i see your point, i never really thought of playing on the wii to get my mind away, hmmm

as for other games.

Zelda Twilight Princess, if your into adventure? can spend days playing that [plus u swing the remote like a sword, lol]
Or like Mario Party, tons of mini games sure to get you moving.
[the list could go on....]

the wii fit is great if you have it.

It good that you like dancing still on the wii, shows you havnt let them girls in school win!

I like racing games like the need for speeds. Sometimes I'll get into a rpg or adventure games like Zelda, oblivion, and I used to play world of Warcraft a lot, but it got to expensive...

Big video gamer here. I grew up with Atari 2600 and the NES. I've mostly been a Nintendo console person, but I've dabbled in other things, like PC games and Dreamcast (which I got pretty much for Soul Calibur). I like all of the Nintendo staples .. Zelda, Mario, Metroid, and now Super Smash Bros. I liked the American Final Fantasy I-III for the NES & SNES, but I never got into the later PS games. I might revisit those sometime soon. After I finish revisiting FF I-VI. I've also got a backlog of Nintendo staples to catch up on, going back to Gamecube. LOVE IT!

It really got me through the difficult and lonely times of my teenage years. While everyone was out being social, which I never understood, or doing athletics, which I was never any good at, I was at home dutifully mastering game after game on my NES. I was able to speed run through Metroid in about 30 minutes, and I thought I was hot shit (of course now by exploiting a few glitches, you can speed run through it in about 15 minutes).

Thanks for the recommendation about Zelda Twilight Princess, Rayven...i've been thinking a lot about getting that one, I loved watching the adverts for it, it looks so fun!

Grew up with NES too, but I went with PS1 route instead of N64 after that. Playstation just had a bigger collection of games...and after that I got PS2 which is probably my favourite console of all times. Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Okami...such great games.

I got Xbox 360 a year ago, PS3 was too expensive and it didn't have too many good games on it...and Wii just seemed like a silly gimmick to me. Been fairly happy with my decision. I'm really liking the western RPG's on it, those are the ones I've been playing most. Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Dragon Age: Origins were great.
