Default Video Games are always the solution

So I've been manically depressed for about 3 months now and I've found that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 helps me a lot.

How do you all cope?

I like to play Katamari Damacy! The bright, cheerful music is always wonderful!

The other day I replayed Paper Mario on the Nintendo 64 (yeah, I like oldish games a lot >_<). The writing never fails to make me laugh, and the world is so vibrant and colorful, and with all kinds of silly enemies.

I've been playing a lot of RPGs lately. Like the Lunar series on the PS1. It had a really fun and balanced battle system, and the characters, while clichéd, were well-written and funny. And I loved the message it sent out, that the only way to achieve balance, both emotional and societal, was to share power and to trust others, both with your strength and weaknesses. It really would be a good eye-opener for a lot of people. It's why I loved it so much.

I used to play RPGs a lot growing up. I have so little patience nowadays though. I need a good love story or subplot to stay interested these days. Especially with my depression... I can't be bothered to fight the same enemies over and over again. Which is why I cannot understand people who play World of Warcraft...

You might as well watch grass grow.

I played the first Modern Warfare. That sniper level was crazy. I hated those dogs!

CoD MW is a ripoff, no dedicated servers is idiotic, thanks Activision =(

ET series, namely wolfenstein and quake wars, rock out loud; WoW is not that bad either, Crysis was fun, Dawn of War is fantastic

I immersed myself in video games since I was old enough to be able to play them (age 7 or thereabouts). During my teenage years, Metroid was always a fallback. I'd lose myself in those worlds, exploring all those dark alien corridors, looking for more stuff to collect, trying to find a faster way through the game, or what-have-you.

I always loved the old Final Fantasy games for the NES and SNES. Especially the SNES games, so many sad little storylines and such beautiful sad music.

I <3 video games.

Favorites are any rpgs. I've played Oblivion, Morrowind, WoW. All great.

Right now I'm playing Left 4 dead 2, not an rpg but a great way to kill some time.

If you can't kick that asshole ex bf in the balls...get Soldier of Fortune and shoot someone else in the balls! (love that game).
