Default Admitted facebook fail

You know those posts where someone posts a rhetorical question/rant about a hot button topic like sex, religion and or politics then a family member of theirs responds? For some reason I can't figure out right now, I figured it was a good idea to engage in theological debate with a high school acquaintance's dad, I think. He's not even on my "friends list". Even if I do have some good points and it was a civil discussion, I just intervened on a family matter, on a personal level, with someone I don't know well, in public and on record.

I prove myself to be a socially inept fool once again, woo! I want to punch myself in the face so hard right now. It's funny but I'm pretty sure I can't save what credibility I had, if any.

Don't sweat it. Everybody does that from time to time. It's just the nature of Facebook. I'm more inclined to mouth off on politics on some vague acquaintance's Facebook page than religion, but the result is the same.

I hate facebook. I'm always saying dumb stuff over there and it would be a lot worse if I didn't have TTL for the rest of my dumb stuff.

It's an addiction and I wish I could figure out how to block it at work so that I couldn't waste time there.

Yuck! I can't believe you're pressured to answer personal or controversial questions on Facebook. It makes me glad I've never used Facebook (although not using it has destroyed my life). I think you shouldn't worry too much about it because you were civil, although I understand what you mean about being on public record.

this is why i try to avoid saying things on facebook because most people on my facebook are people who live near me but never talk to me but if i said some of the stuff i would like to say it would cause a hudge porblem or might not who knows to be honest.

Don't worry about it. I did the same a few days ago, though it was about the PSN, caused it a heated argument, but then I and the other two people that were in on the convo got blocked from posting any comments or wall posts on the wall for a week, which was a good thing, cause who knows how mean it was going to go lol!
