Hi.I'm new here.I just recently found out the name of the ocd version that I've had for over 6 years. Its called:
Functional Impairment:neglect of self care and hygiene.

Its stopped me doing all my grooming routines everyday.Simple everyday grooming including:
brushing my hair,
cleaning my teeth
washing
washing my hair.
trimming facial hair,
shaving(I'm a male)
trimming fingernails/toenails
wearing clean/new/washed clothes
unable to change bed linen.

Then there are the rituals I had like straightening things up,using specific brands of items, doing things at certain times and so on.

Not being able to move things from where they were.Just about everything in my home stayed where it was.I couldnt even take things out the fridge/freezer.

I looked like a caveman.I looked so horrible. Its not something I wanted to put up with.I decided that this crap disorder had to go.I won.Ocd lost.
I found heath care practitioners who tried to help. Finally found the right one.My life has changed just in the last 10 months. Its great.I've almost got rid of the ocd altogether.I look like a real person again.I'm me again. And,never touched a drug to do it.

If you can relate to what I've been through please reply and we can compare notes.I have found 2 others with this same version.I'd like to offer support.

Thanks for stopping buy.

I am so proud of you! I won an OCD struggle when I was 9...but lost one when I was 18...hmmmm I dunno I still have a change to start over and not let my OCD destroy me...But while I used to have rituals, now I just have pure O (just thoughts, which are actually starting to disappear)

Hi.

I chose not to keep the ocd.I chose to get rid of it.Its a waste of life to even live with such a crap version of ocd.Why anyone would hold on to a disorder is just stupid.I pain good money for a non medical practitioner who got rid of it.Thats how to treat disorder,....get rid of them.

What are they? Same here...I feel I got over most of my tendencies too...I guess my paranoia that the thoughts may come back could be a hindrance, lol
