Default discussion about OCD

OCD is a common disorder in life,i got it,my gf got it,we all got it in some forms...whether it's a phobia like a fear of this or that==my wife had a phobia OCD about hygiene==washing her hands too often etc..i have known people who pull every hair out of their skull, people who go into intrusive or imaginary thoughts which can really affect daily life, rumination, worries, fear, anger, anxiety, depress ion, lack of self worth/self esteem..
according to what i think it all has to do with OCD...I see threads in this section which go back to 2009,did we all forget about our OCD issues??is there a cure?are we afraid to talk about it?let's open a discussion again here about OCD,i think it's worthwhile talking about it...and never forget,if i tell you i got OCD or feel bipolar,it does not affect me or who i am,we are going for an open discussion about who we are, what we feel, this is not a tribunal where we place people in a bad daylight...it's an open discussion...anyone wanna say something about her or his OCD problem, how they deal with it and how it affects their life?i will go further in detail about OCD,i find it extremely interesting, anyone else?come on peeps,go for it and start posting...

i can personally relate to this you tube..when i had to take a train to the airport for a flight towards Japan,i left my house and on the train i got thoughts like=did i lock the back door, turned out the light in my bed room etc...?
that's OCD==it's a kind of worry we got no control over,is it not?

OCD can be very persistent and complex to understand...the more i think about my OCD the more i find myself into a puzzle sometimes...but anyway...we all have to learn to understand that OCD can be very difficult to even feel its essence in general==it's a different issue for most of us..and we need to tackle our problem ourself==i call it determination...i bet avoiding a problem is only postponing it in my opinion...i can be wrong?lots of mental disorders we have to investigate ourselves,or we can go into therapy and seek profession help,i never did it to be honest..

I bet we all got OCD in some mild or extreme form===i got it,my gf says she got it,lots of my friends say they suffer from it..it's NOT easy to get rid or cure OCD in my belief..my OCD takes me into being revolutionary, rebellious attitudes which often become like flak periods where i can get blunt about certain situations..difficult to treat because it leads to ruminations, guilt,in my case never anxiety but more a kind of a frustration which i cannot control at times...i am always alert of herbal treatments===i found Ashwa in a health shop,tbh...it might have some benefits on me but i still flare up with OCD...can anyone relate to how they experience OCD?I made this thread and everybody seems to have OCD so i do not understand why just nobody replies to this topic...we all know that TTL is going down,I still believe in this forum because it deals with human psychology and life..greetz..tigerlover

hi.

I hope you don't mind that I jump in here and contribute to your discussion:

while I don't have OCD, I certainly know what you mean about phobias and " pulling your hair out", in certain situations

I have 2 phobias: the first one is odd numbers (I can not deal with any odd number of anything), which usually actualy isn't a problem, but when I go to the shop it is- like: if I only need a certain number of items, but have to get more just because that number is even (and I have to check in all the packets that they are even)

my other phobia is complete clenliness. if I go in to a room that's been completely cleaned, I just can't cope and insist on scratching the walls, or something along those lines

oh yeah: I do have a third actually.

protective clothing. so things like coats, gloves, hats, I can't cope with anyone who wears those things. it's hard for me in the winter because when it's raining and cold and I can't wear a coat.... well, yeah. go figure
