Default Conflicting OCD Habits

Does anyone else here have conficting OCD habits? I hate germs, but I also hate chemicals. Duh. It's like I put myself in this no-win situation or something. Why do I do this?

Organization vs. Chaos. I have this problem with hoarding so I tend to obsessively collect and struggle to throw away things. I don't know why, this creates clutter along with a seriously bad memory problem that makes it so when I clean up I can't find anything at all. However I get overwhelmed with chaos/messiness. I'm not obsessively clean, but thing do have to be in a certain order for me. This conflicts with my tendancy for obsessive hoarding and forgetting. So I came up with this compromise called organized chaos. It works, also things like 'tabbing' help with webbrowsers, having the tool bar at the bottom of my screen set to vanish, and having all the background on the screen set to don't display. And I try to keep things somewhat organized while being in open view so if I can't remember where I put my pen down (happens several times in a row) when I scan around me getting in a panic it's right there.

Of course this is a mixture between OCD/Forgetfulness/and just...low stress tolerance/brain being overwhelmed. But I think that counts as having something somewhat conflicted.

i tend to like to keep things, too, but i also try to organize it. i like having a place for everything. i'm pretty forgetful, too, so having things in their "spot" helps.
