This is really interesting!

I hadn't heard of this. Of course, here in the US, single people are way over taxed!

If I had a way, I'd drop out of society. I've met people who have and, from what I see, they are happier!

A guy I met, lives in India now, just stopped working. He had enough money saved to live on for a while. When he ran out of money, he took to sleeping anywhere he could and eating at soup kitchen types of places. As far as his heath needs, he says letting his hair grow and not eating too much keeps him well. He attributes much of his good health to not possessing things. He says he owns only that which he needs to stay warm and covered and has been wearing the same pair of sandals for many many years.

Lives a hippy, gyspy type of life. He does have a daughter who is a successful journalist who is writing a book about him.

The last I knew of him, he was traveling in North Carolina for about a month and then returning to India. I believe his daughter paid for his airfare.

There is a way.

Dear 3Third, I'm also from India. Suffering from long term depression. What is the latest about this guy you wrote? Is the book out?
