I'm not suggesting people smoke it, I think it's a mistake, but it's part of our society, like alcohol or ciggarettes, we might as well face it and be practical.

That's right - that's what I was agreeing with. Punk was all ready to go start smoking pot! (just kidding). The king and queen would have been in royal trouble!

i wish they would make it easier for cancer patients to get it for free. it is very helpful in relieving nausea. it's like one of the only things that can make it possible for some people on chemo treatments to eat food without throwing up. i wish they'd just legalize it. but there's too much money in it now. they (the ambiguous 'they') will not do it, i think.

yes, a good friend of mine's godmother, a real sweet lady, had some kind of cancer...she had to smoke to eat.....she could not eat at all unless she smoked! she hung on for a while like that, but eventually she died, may she rest in peace. i was glad she had the medicine she needed to make the end of her life more comfortable. it is a godsend when people are in a lot of chronic pain and nausea. if i ever have to go through that i hope i get to have free herbals to smoke.

yes, dreamer, my friend was just like that - had to smoke to eat and then to sleep. she was in no condition to enjoy the high as we all think of it. it was purely for pain control, eating and sleeping.

it is sad, lyndsey. it was sad to watch her and i'm sure dreamer feels the same. i watched my friend smoke so she could drag to the table and eat. then an hour later, she'd sleep a bit before waking up in more pain.
