Aw bd - that is sad - i loved watching him - that was in the days where you were allowed to drink and smoke while playing snooker -
it took its toll but i dont think he would have changed a thing

Abomination - They called him Hurricane because he played so fast.

Brandy - His lifestyle finally caught up with him. Although I have heard a lot of stories from ppl who met him that he could be very rude, I still liked that "anti-hero" type that he was.

He was probably the only good thing to come out of Belfast's Sandy Row. (let's just say that I would never go for a drink there, unless I wanted to dice with death).

Brandy

Great pic of Hurricane sucking hard on the weed that finally killed him.

When he inhaled on a cig he fairly inhaled!

I would say about 3 inhalations and there would be nothing left only a butt.

The real Alex could be very abrupt, but that was part of his character.

People I know from a town near where I live have seen him play live at exhibition games. When they went to ask him for his autograph afterwards he bluntly told them to "F**k off!"

He was a real "prickly" customer.
