Just like another hero of mine, the footballer, George Best, he lost his battle against the bottle.
One of his songs, Baker Street, remains a timeless classic and reminds me in many ways of my own personal "fall from grace". If you have never heard it before, then you are in for a treat:

That's the thing about depression: A human being can survive almost anything, as long as she/he sees the end in sight. But depression is so insidious, and it compounds daily, that it's impossible to ever see the end.
