Default Bookies and the Royal Wedding.

Unless you have been living on a remote desert island lately, you cannot but fail to know that Friday 29th April sees yet another royal wedding in UK, when a grandson of Queen Elizabeth 2nd, William, (and future King) marries a "commoner", Kate Middleton.

It has been said that bookmakers will give odds on just about anything, even on 2 fleas crawling up a wall (which will get to the ceiling first?).

The royal wedding is no different. In one of todays newspapers, for instance, odds have been quoted at 6/4 favourite that the Queen will wear a YELLOW outfit on the day

Bookies do not miss a trick when it comes to parting us from our dosh.

Kate in "that" dress which first caught William's eye.

Can't say I blame him for being gob smacked.

My God is that her? She looks so different now!

I know the bookies will do anything to get the people in, but I have a feeling Queenie will wear something blue, she seems to like that colour. I be watching it on live on Youtube!

Did they really bet on two fleas on a wall? God I really need to get myself down there, bet on something hilarious!

I can totally see the queen in something baby blue.

I can safely say, i, as a resident of the UK, will not be watching or celebrating the Royal Wedding. Sorry, but i'd like to think i have more important issues to deal with, even though i probably don't..

The fashion "experts" on Friday described the Queen's outfit for the wedding as "primrose".

Primrose??? Primrose???
Looked like yellow to me, unless I'm getting blind in my old age.

How did the bookies find out what she was going to wear?

One passing shot at the difference between the 2 sexes with regard to their respective views on the wedding:

All the WOMEN had been speculating prior to the wedding about how Kate would have her hair on the DAY of the wedding,

while

All the MEN had been speculating prior to the wedding about how Kate would have her heir on the NIGHT of the wedding.

do you mean"Heir" as in Prince William - is that the joke - well i spect they went back to Clarence House as usual.

Also the fashionados or whatevever they're called call it Primrose cos its more fancier than yellow.
