Default He was sick anyway

A relative of mine took their own life. I got halfway through the messages on social media platforms and felt tears prickle in my eyes. Granted we were not closely related only by step family, I felt mixed emotions. I felt a little angry seeing how it has affected other people. That he couldn't see he had people who needed him.
It seems like he maybe had been given bad news on his health by a doctor and speculation says that he maybe he had early stages of a terminal condition. So If he was dying anyway it makes things a tiny bit clearer? Not better,no far from it. But if it turns out he was going to die anyway then maybe that is a small relief. Not much, a reason at least. We don't know why he did it. No note left at the scene.
It's not hit his son yet. Think he is in a bit of denial, not quite real for him. He is only young and was about to make his dad a grandad and then he took his own life. Nothing prepares you for this kind of tragedy. He will be sorely missed.

Please accept my condolences on your loss.

It's never easy dealing with the death of a loved one regardless of the cause. Does it make things a tiny bit clearer? I really wish I knew the answer to that one and please try not to be angry with him. Maybe he did get that bad news and felt that he would have been a burden on those who needed him. Does that make it any better? No, I don't think so.

All you can do is hope he finds the peace he was looking for and do what you can to support his son in this time. Get the help you need for yourself as well and do what you can for your self-care.

I hope this helps.
