Except for the odd year or two in France, Yorkshire and other random places, I've lived most of my life in Cumbria, the Lake District... it's a beautiful place, but the gay scene is practically none existant in my particular area...
For most of my time here, that hasn't been an issue or a problem in any way, as generally I've been happy being single (coming up to a year in the next month or so), but lately, it's been bothering me a bit. Maybe cos tomorrow I know I'm moving into my own place and the freedom, independence etc will allow me to get out more etc etc. And maybe it's just made me realise this thing with the lack of gay scene.
Tbh, the scene hasn't always been my thing in the past... really I can't say I'm purposefully going out, or wanting to, hunting for a girlfriend, cos I'm not, very much going with the flow. But some gay people around and a bit of a scene would be nice! Just to be able to get to know a few gay girls and what not. I guess that's all I mean.
I have plenty of amazing online homo friends, which I rarely see unfortunately. Oh well, I guess the lack of gays in my life is getting to me today... pfft.
