Default Two Wolves

Two Wolves

Native Cherokee Tale

A native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. He said "I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one."
The grandson asked him, which wolf will win the fight in your heart?
The grandfather answered: "The one I feed."

this story is a good start, but the negativity in my mind makes me think if I try to feed one of two fighting wolves, they may both come after me. I don't know...this story may help me develop a method of approach to solving a problem during my day so I will leave it at face value and not think about it. cool story.

Hi Joanna, I love that one...I must admit I have heard it. This is the slightly different version...if you want to take a squeeze.

Cherokee elder told his grandson about the battle that goes on inside peoples heads. He said, "my son the battle is between two wolves that live inside us all. One is unhappiness it is fear, worry, anger, jealousy, sorrow, self pity, resentment and inferiority. The other is happiness. It is joy, love, hope, serenity, kindness, generosity, truth and compassion". "Which wolf wins?" asked the grandson. The old cherokee simply replied, "the one you feed".

Great story. You could apply this to a bigger sense and say that the people in society that are fed better become more successful, something to think about :)
