"If you think long enough about death, something will happen to you. You'll find out, among other things, that it'll pose the next question to you: what was it like to wake up after never having gone to sleep?"

Nothing wrong with death, though few people like to think about it.
EVERYBODY will die, no exceptions, so why fear it? It's as normal a part of life as breathing.
I don't fear death, though, perhaps, it's method causes me some concern at times.

you have to fear death. it is what it is. everybody fears it, the rich, the poor, the happy the unhappy even animals fears it....you cannot kid yourself and pretend that you don't fear it. it is just nature. even the ones that commit suicide fears it, but do it still because their fear of living is greater than their fear of dying. Nothing, no emotion and nothing is created without reason. imagine we are created without the fear of death. what will happen? the human race will be banished from earth, we will be dropping one after the other. it is this fear that keeps us living. it is your approach to that fear that must be questioned. you have one approach that is indifferent to it "everybody dies so why i must fear it?" and this leads to idleness, boredom, inaction and indifference. another approach is scariness to the point of over action "i fear death it scares me to the bones" and this fear of ending makes you more eager to do more out of life, to feel more before the end will come, to see what can you do, what can you become with the scarcest resource on earth: TIME. any other approach?

I don't think you have to fear death. I know that not everybody fears death... or maybe everyone does a LITTLE bit but some to a very minimal extent.

You don't have to fear death to live your life to the fullest. It wouldn't be true enjoyment if your actions were based on fear.

fear is within us for evolutionary purpose only. if we didn't have fear and fear of death we wont be able to reach where we are now. think of it similar to the fear of fire. if u don't fear it u will burn yourself.

Fear of death is what makes life valuable. but you have to push back death or else it will destroy us. by pushing back death, i don't mean to ignore it and be fearless against it, it is to push it back with more life, with more achievements, with more living...fear of death is built-in. try not to be fearful when somebody is putting a gun in your face and threatening to kill you. can you do it?

Large, fear of dying and fear of death are 2 different things. I fear dying but not death, like Meriva05.

And we DON'T have to fear.. how about liking death, but liking life more? :)

The more I thought of death, the more I realized it didn't exist.... we will always be souls because that is what we are at its simplest form, and things at its simplest form cannot be turned into anything else... and there's the law of the conservation of matter and energy too. So I think I agree with Operator.
