I'm trying to figure out how to post pictures for people, so if this doesn't come out as a picture, you know why.

Yah, I took those. I was driving to my new job in 08, and stopped in South Dakota to take those as I was passing through. That was my first time ever going to the Badlands. Those striped pointy things in the 2nd picture are tall mountains. It was pretty breathtaking to me. The 2 of the snowy mountains were in Montana, and I pretty much put the camera on the side view mirror out the window and snapped them as I drove. I like the tree in the middle of the 4th picture. I thought it looked really cool there. If you get the picture off this site and put it on your own computer, the tree is a nice focal point when you make the picture bigger. The last one is not far from where I live, and yes the river is that far down. I stopped to try and take good pictures of that one. The land here in this corner of the country is pretty fabulous. I love the countryside, just need the job so I can eat too.

Thanks for looking, Brandy!

Default Idaho Pictures

These are all pictures I took of Idaho, while in Idaho. All of these are taken of north-central Idaho, and most of the pictures are of the Gospel Mountain area.

The dark stormy picture is taken from the same place as the previous series picture of the train trestle and river. A thunderstorm was rolling in over the edge of the river gorge, which starts where the line of trees is. I could never take the picture quite when the lightning struck, but it was a beautiful contrast anyhow with the wheat stubble so blond in the field.

In the second to last picture here, that shows the 6 taller peaks in the back- you are looking across the tops of shorter mountains until you see those 6 peaks of the Seven Devils Range, which lies along the border of Idaho/Oregon. They are very tall, even taller then these mountains I am taking photos in. The camera has a way of diminishing the size of things and it is difficult with my amateur experience to demonstrate exactly how high up I am sometimes.

The last photo is from the Lolo Pass area, when coming down into Idaho from Montana. We had a lingering winter in 08, and I arrived to begin the job I no longer have that May, to find snow abundantly in the mountains still.
