Default Schubert's Trio Opus 100

His two piano Trios, both very late works, written at the end of his short life, are now considered as some of the greatest works ever written for this formation. Here is the 2nd movement from the second Trio Opus 100.

Schubert Piano Trio No. 2. - Istomin-Stern-Rose - II. Andante con moto - YouTube

I tried to find some uplifting music...

Bach - Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 in D major BWV 1050 - 1. Allegro - YouTube

I really liked the stories behind the music that have been shared.

I don't know about anyone else (besides Dave) but this thread has really helped keep me positive. I love learning about you have shared.

I hope to do the same for others.

Default Wilhelm Kempff ( 1895- 1991 )

He was always my favorite musician. Poetry and spontaneity of his playing are exceptional, his sound is sublime.Generally much lauded for his Beethoven and Schubert he produced 2 Chopin disks in the 1950'ies which are hardly known ,but contain the most poetic Chopin playing ever put on a disc.
Here is the 3rd Impromptu.

Wilhelm Kempff plays Chopin Impromptu No. 3 in G flat Op. 51 - YouTube

PS Thank you Yang Yin. Despite I am numb and feel nothing any more I have decided to go on with this for the time being.

Hey Mozart,

I'm sorry, I've got nothing musical to offer. It's just nice to see you here, is all.
