Straying far away from classical music to a song that surfaced in my troubled mind tonight, a bit of country singing from a woman whose voice is lovely and a lower range:

Lorrie Morgan Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow - YouTube

I don't know why I'm thinking about it as I have nobody in my life that fits the topic. Maybe its more the broader question of how we can fit into life and be accepted for who we are.

Default Maurice Ravel

Maurice Ravel was a curious guy: he composed for most forms exactly one work : String Quartet, Piano Trio, Violin Sonata, Duo Violin Cello, one piano concerto 2 hands , one piano concerto 1 hand, etc and all of these works are considered timeless masterworks. Quality over quantity so it seems....
Here is the finale of his Piano Trio played by Heifetz,Pjatigorsky and Rubinstein, a Trio of superlative dimensions.
The last movement is remarkable in its radical explosive ending, a typical trait of Ravel, who was a volcano of a composer under a very cool and polished surface. 5.18 worth spending one's life on listening....

It's fantastic and genius and Mozart nothing can compare. My first real hardship
in college trying to translate Mozart to classical guitar . Mozart sonata in c major
you are a breathe of fresh air here.

Default Liszt

Liszt was above all a great visionary and a poet of the piano. Depth and spirituality are his trademarks, more so than the superficial virtuoso aspects.
Hie music though is like wax in the hand of interpreters: shallow playing will show up and strangely enough often Liszt gets blamed for this.
Here is Claudio Arrau with one of the great works by Liszt. " The blessing of God in solitude" . ( Benediction dans la solitude ).Arrau plays Liszt - Bénédiction de Dieu dans la solitude, S. 173/3 (1847) - YouTube

May I make a small parenthesis in this magnificent thread and thank you, Mozart for creating it?

Music is the only way my feelings have a voice. Needless to say, classical pieces have a way in mind and soul like no lyrics can.

what I`m listening now:

Ok, carry on.. :)
